TLC Solutions is seeking a talented BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER to join our team.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER are the team members responsible for the delivery of potential customer proposals for time and material agreements and managed services agreements. They work closely with the marketing team on lead generation and focus on generating leads, proposing solutions, booking appointments and selling agreements. This position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and works Monday to Friday from 8am-5pm PST.

Essential responsibilities

• Exceeding or meeting personal sales targets while demonstrating a solid customer focus
• Initiating and leveraging sales opportunities with potential clients
• Developing a strong knowledge of the IT industry specifically Managed Services
• Coordinating with the marketing team in developing strategies and lead generation techniques
• Completing required number of cold calls to generate new leads
• Responding to all potential client queries within 2 hours
• Developing a firm market presence through publications and events through efficient networking relations
• Developing sales plans and completing quarterly and monthly reports as required
• Participating in industry events and conferences
• Managing and prioritizing sales leads prepared by the marketing department, developing new accounts through analyzing, exploring, networking and referrals
• Qualifying leads for follow up by senior executives
• Maintaining accurate lead reporting via companies CRM and excel spreadsheets
• Conduct onsite sales trips as required; some travel may be required
• Assist TLC Solutions to continue to develop an innovative IT Consulting and Management company
• Participate in various projects, as assigned
• Continuous improvement of self through workshops, certifications, job shadows etc.

Qualifications and experience

• Minimum 5 years of customer service experience
• Minimum of 5 year of sales experience preferably in the IT industry
• Undergraduate degree, with preference for Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Sales and Marketing related field
• Able to initiate or demonstrate strong personal sales to function independently or as part of a team
• Passion to turn prospects into clients and persistent determination with telephone sales
• Able to prepare and deliver efficient customized sales proposals and presentations to professionals at senior and mid-management levels
• Strong ability to multitask
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Proactive hands-on, roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes to get the job done attitude
• Proficient in MS Office
• Ability to work independently and as a team, self-starter and energetic
• Bring a positive attitude and outlook to an already thriving positive culture
• Contributor to a positive and results oriented team environment
• Ability to work in a KPI driven environment and meet sales targets
• Curious, with a desire to understand and learn
• Good time management, organization and priority defining skills
• Exceptional ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external working relationships with all levels in the organization
• Exceptional ability to listen, communicate (written and oral) and collaborate
• Successful completion of Criminal Background Check
• Clean driving record and ability to produce a drivers abstract and claims history letter
• Ability to successfully complete random drug and alcohol screening
• Legally allowed to work in Canada
